The HOK Planning Group – Atlanta was one of the few national firms selected to work with the City of New Orleans to create a new Master Plan for the City after Katrina – this plan became known as the Unified New Orleans Plan – UNOP. Our area of study was that of District 4. Out of the 13 District’s that make up the City of New Orleans – District 4 is the only District that does not have a waterfront edge. It is also considered “the Bowl of the City”. It is among some of the lowest parts of the City. Our team looked at 13 different sites within District 4 that included the following the following project types:

– Mixed-Use (Residential) – over 4,000 people from District 4 were displaced
